Abia AGN Gets Caretaker Chairman

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has named Emmanuel Ehumadu as the Chairman of the Interim Caretaker Committee for the Abia State chapter.
The National President of the Guild, Dr. Emeka Rollas, announced the appointment in a statement released on Tuesday in Lagos.
In his statement, Dr. Rollas also disclosed that Moira Mba would serve as the Secretary of the committee.
“It is the resolution of the National Executive Council of the Actors Guild of Nigeria to appoint Emmanuel Ehumadu as Chairman, Interim Caretaker Committee of Abia State chapter, with immediate effect,” Rollas said.
The AGN president explained that Ehumadu’s primary responsibility would be to oversee the administration of the Abia chapter and to continue efforts to restore peace and stability within the state chapter. He said Ehumadu is expected to facilitate a smooth transition to a duly elected state executive upon the completion of an electoral process.
“Ehumadu is also tasked with performing other duties as may be assigned to him in line with his position as chairman of the interim government,” Rollas added.
Rollas expressed confidence in Ehumadu’s leadership abilities and urged him to approach the assignment with dedication and diligence.
He also emphasized that the appointment came with conditions, stating that it could be terminated in the event of insubordination, disobedience, indiscipline, or any actions contrary to the AGN’s constitution.
“We believe in his ability and competence. I urge him to take this appointment with all seriousness. Congratulations,” Rollas concluded.
