At least 67 persons, including 21 children, have been killed following the catastrophic floods rocking Texas, United States.
Larry Leitha, the Kerr County Sheriff in Texas Hill Country, the epicenter of the flooding, said on Sunday that the death toll in Kerr County only had reached 59.
The flood reportedly flushed at least 20 girls away from summer camp near the Guadalupe River.
The River was said to have broken its banks after a torrential rain that fell in the central Texas area on Friday.
Officials revealed on Saturday that about 850 persons were rescued, including some victims that clung to trees.
It was, however, unclear exactly how many people in the area were still missing but reports indicated that scores of people cannot be accounted for at the moment.
As of the time of this report, the rescue team are still working tirelessly to ensure that more missing persons are rescued alive.
