The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Zamfara State has expressed readiness to welcome Governor Dauda Lawal into its fold if he chooses to defect from his current party.

State chairman of the party, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, disclosed this during a media briefing with journalists in Gusau on Friday, as political activities begin to intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Garba described the ADC as an emerging force in the state’s political landscape, noting that the party remains open to all individuals who align with its vision.

“We are ready to welcome Governor Dauda Lawal if he decides to join our party. We don’t discriminate. The doors of ADC are open to everyone, including the governor,” he stated.

He added that preparations are ongoing to strengthen the party’s structure across all 14 local government areas in the state, as it positions itself as a serious contender in the 2027 elections.
