Mikel Arteta reached a milestone on Saturday after taking charge of his 300th game as Arsenal manager.
The Spaniard has overseen an impressive transformation of the North London side, returning Arsenal to a status as challengers at home and in Europe.
The biggest trophies have so far proven elusive for Arteta, who is yet to add to the FA Cup won in his debut campaign, but he has turned Arsenal into a consistent winning machine with optimism high that the Gunners can secure a major honour in 2025/26. Arsenal moved top of the Premier League table after their 2-0 win over West Ham this weekend.
Arsenal’s victory over their London rivals was also Arteta’s 177th win in charge of the club. His 177 wins after 300 games is bettered by just three managers in English top-flight football history.
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp also recorded 177 wins in his first 300 games, with the duo just behind another ex-Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish.
In seconds, Jose Mourinho led Chelsea to 196 wins in his first 300 games over two spells at Stamford Bridge.
However, Pep Guardiola is comfortably out in front with 219 wins in his first 300 games as Manchester City manager.
