Man Utd will reportedly sign Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa after they activated the player’s release clause.
The Red Devils have moved for the Belgium international after backing out of their deal to sign Ederson Silva from Atalanta in the summer transfer window.
United have also also agreed to sign Andrey Santos from Chelsea as Michael Carrick looks to rebuild the team’s midfield following the departure of Casemiro.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tielemans will join Man Utd after they activated the release clause in his contract with Villa, which is said to be set at £35 million (€41m).
The Midlands outfit had “no desire to sell” the 29-year-old, who is contracted until 2028, but have little choice due to the mechanism, The Athletic reports.
Tielemans had interest from other clubs, but he “favours a move to Old Trafford”. He joined Villa from Leicester City on a free transfer in 2023, and has since gone on to make 93 Premier League appearances, scoring five goals and making 17 assists. He also helped the club win the UEFA Europa League last season.
The news of his imminent departure comes just as Villa have reportedly clinched a deal for Freiburg midfielder Johan Manzambi, beating Newcastle United to the Switzerland star’s signature.
