Harry Maguire has hailed the ambition of the Manchester United squad after signing a new contract with the club.
Maguire has put pen to paper on a new contract at Old Trafford that will run until 2027, with the option of a further season.
The centre-back has extended a deal that was due to expire in the summer, having played an important role in the club’s improved form under Michael Carrick.
United are third in the Premier League table and closing in on a Champions League return. After committing to new terms, Maguire said he is excited by the potential of the current squad.
“Representing Manchester United is the ultimate honour. It is a responsibility that makes myself and my family proud every single day,” Maguire said.
“I am delighted to extend my journey at this incredible club to at least eight seasons and continue to play in front of our special supporters to create more amazing moments together.
“You can feel the ambition and potential of this exciting squad. The determination throughout the whole club to fight for major trophies is clear for everyone to see and I am confident that our best moments together remain ahead of us.”
