Jurgen Klopp says he no longer wants to work in football management after leaving Liverpool last year.
The German left Anfield in 2024 after nine years as the club’s head coach, winning every available trophy, including the Premier League, Champions League, and Club World Cup, during his stint.
Klopp has since taken up new employment as Red Bull’s Head of Global of Soccer, a title he has held since January of this year, continuing his involvement in the game.

The 58-year-old has been linked with Real Madrid and the Brazil and United States national teams, but he has no desire to take charge of another football team, telling The Athletic: “I don’t want to work as a coach anymore.”
“That’s what I think,” he responded when asked if he would really never coach again. “But you don’t know. I’m 58. If I started again at 65, everybody will say, ‘You said you’ll never do it again!’ Er, sorry, I thought 100 per cent (when I said it)! That is what I think now. I don’t miss anything.”
Klopp is enjoying life after football management, doing simple things that he rarely got to do in the past, such as going to weddings, the cinema or taking holidays whenever he wants.
“I have the choice,” he says. “I can go on holiday. And I decide when. Okay, Ulla decides when. But it is not the Premier League or the Bundesliga deciding.”
The former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund boss added: “It’s crazy, but I don’t miss it. I’m still in football, I’m still at work in an environment I know about. But I learn every day new things. I didn’t do that for a while to the extent I do it now.”
