Chelsea XI vs Tottenham Hotspur – Predicted lineup

Chelsea make the short trip to North London today, full of confidence after booking their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

A thrilling 4-3 midweek win over Wolves has certainly boosted morale. Now, Enzo Maresca’s side will look to improve their mid-table league position. The Blues have struggled for consistency in the league this season, losing three of their last five matches.

However, their away form has recently been a bright spot. In fact, they have won their last three consecutive league games on the road. They will be confident of extending that run at a stadium where they have won five of their last six visits.

Chelsea team news

Enzo Maresca has received a significant boost ahead of today’s trip to Tottenham. He confirmed that key midfield duo Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are both available. Furthermore, striker Joao Pedro is also fit and in contention to feature.

All three players were managed carefully during the midweek Carabao Cup tie. For instance, Pedro was rested entirely, while Caicedo and Fernandez only made second-half appearances. However, Maresca has confirmed they are ready for this Premier League clash.

Unfortunately, the Blues will be without star player Cole Palmer, who is still recovering from a groin issue. He joins injured defenders Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile, as well as midfielder Dario Essugo, on the sidelines. Chelsea will also be without striker Liam Delap. He is serving a suspension after his red card against Wolves in the cup.
