Chelsea and Arsenal are both interested in signing Lewis Hall from Newcastle United this summer.
Hall has attracted interest from top clubs across Europe after a season of progress at St James’ Park.
The 21-year-old’s mature performances in the Champions League have impressed scouts, with Hall battling to be England’s left-back at this summer’s World Cup.
Chelsea are open to re-signing Hall, according to Caught Offside. The defender came through the academy ranks at Chelsea but was sold to Newcastle for an initial £28m fee in 2023, after only 12 senior appearances for the West Londoners.
However, Chelsea are not alone in their pursuit. Arsenal view Hall as an option this summer, with both Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly linked with possible exits.
Liverpool and both Manchester clubs, alongside leading sides in Spain and Germany, have also tracked his performances this season.
Newcastle are insistent that Hall is not for sale. The full-back remains a key part of the club’s long-term plans and the Magpies are in a strong position, with Hall contracted until 2029. Even amid the expected absence of European football, Newcastle will demand a massive fee for the player.
