Bournemouth vs Liverpool – Match preview and team news
Liverpool travel to the Vitality Stadium this Saturday evening. They aim to translate European dominance into a long-awaited league victory.
Arne Slot’s side currently sits in the top four despite a difficult start to the year. They have drawn all four of their Premier League matches in 2026 so far. However, the Reds arrive with renewed confidence following a 3–0 win over Marseille.
Bournemouth are enduring a difficult period of their own under Andoni Iraola. The Cherries have won just once in their last 14 matches across all competitions. A dramatic late equaliser denied them an away win at Brighton on Monday. They must now face a side they have historically struggled against in the top flight.

Bournemouth
The Cherries have lost Marcus Tavernier to a hamstring injury sustained against Brighton. He joins a crowded treatment room featuring David Brooks, Justin Kluivert, and Tyler Adams. Amine Adli is expected to be fit despite a minor physical issue. Furthermore, Enes Ünal could return to the squad after a groin injury. Winter signing Alex Tóth is available and could debut from the bench.
Liverpool
Mohamed Salah is primed for his first Premier League start since November. He recently returned from international duty with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations. However, Federico Chiesa is a major doubt after a mid-week training injury. Ibrahima Konaté is expected to remain absent following a family bereavement. Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley, and Giovanni Leoni remain long-term absentees.
Form
Bournemouth
Bournemouth have slipped to 15th in the table after a poor run of results. They have conceded 52 goals in 17 Premier League meetings with Liverpool. This represents their joint-most against any opponent in the competition’s history. Despite these struggles, Iraola’s men have remained relatively competitive at home this term.
Liverpool
Slot’s men are currently on a 10-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League. However, they have not drawn five straight top-flight matches since 1980. Interestingly, Liverpool’s matches have seen 43 goals scored after half-time this season. This represents the highest total of second-half goals in the division.
Predicted Lineups
Bournemouth Predicted XI: Petrović; Jiménez, Hill, Senesi, Truffert; Cook, Christie; Adli, Scott, Kroupi; Evanilson
Liverpool Predicted XI: Alisson; Frimpong, Gomez, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Jones; Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Ekitiké
