Elliot Anderson has posted a farewell message to Nottingham Forest following his £116m transfer to Manchester City.
Anderson has signed for Manchester City in a club-record deal, following two outstanding seasons at the City Ground.
During his time at Forest, Anderson helped the club to European qualification for the first time in 29 years, and established himself as an England international.
He featured prominently this summer as England finished third at the 2026 World Cup in North America.
Ahead of a new challenge at the Etihad, Anderson thanked the Forest fans on social media for their support since his arrival from Newcastle in 2024.
“Forest family, firstly I am so grateful for the love and support you have shown me over the last 2 years especially towards the end of this season. From the minute I walked through the door I fell in love with this club,” he said.
“I want to thank all the staff and players for welcoming me and making my time here so enjoyable, this club gave me the opportunity to grow as a player and a person.
“Bringing the club European football again after 29 years is what all of you fans deserved and to be a helping hand in that is so special.
“Nottingham forest will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for all the unforgettable memories.”
