Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has shared some of the reasons behind his decision to take a second wife.
The actor, who married his first wife, May, at the age of 22 after graduating from the university, drew widespread criticism on the internet a few years ago when he publicly introduced his second wife, Judith, and her son. The announcement has kept him in the headlines since.
Speaking on a recent episode of ‘ The Honest Bunch Podcast’, Yul said certain life events influence major decisions, and outsiders often lack the full context.
“Some things happen that make people act in ways others don’t understand,” he said. “If you don’t know the full story, you might assume someone has lost it. Decisions don’t happen in isolation.”
He added that social media users rarely have all the facts but often judge anyway.
“Most times, people online don’t know 50% of the story, yet they judge as if they know 100%. I’ve been attacked and called all kinds of names, but it doesn’t bother me,” he said.
He described May as a faithful and beautiful mother of his children, and wished her well in her endeavours.
Recall that the actor set tongues wagging on social media in April 2022, after he unveiled the birth of his son by his second wife, Judy Austin.
