The Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has confirmed the arrest of popular dancer, Lil Smart by singer Naira Marley.

This is coming nearly two weeks after Lil Smart’s sudden disappearance.

Announcing the dancer’s arrest on Friday, in a viral post on social media, the police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated that he was arrested following a petition received from Naira Marley.

Lil Smart in a trending video on the internet was paraded for criminal defamation, cyberbullying, cyber stalking, and falsehood.

Adejobi said “Following a filed petition for criminal defamation, cyberbullying, cyberstalking and falsehood, the Force also secured the arrest of one Idowu Smart Emmanuel, who eventually admitted to his crimes and confessed that his allegations were false.”

While admitting to making false allegations, Lil Smart expressed regret for calling Naira Marley out without having concrete evidence.

DAILY POST reports that Nollywood filmmaker Stanley Ontop had called out Naira Marley for secretly arresting Lil Smart without a trace.

Recall that Lil Smart on December 9 2024, shared a worrisome post on Instagram, accusing Naira Marley and Zinoleesky of threat to his life.

The dancer further submitted a petition against Zinoleesky and Naira Marley to the police.
