Nigerian rapper Msjorji has declared herself the only “African Bad Girl” (ABG), questioning why the title is also associated with singer Tiwa Savage.
Msjorji made the statement while speaking as a guest on Wazobia FM, where she was asked about Savage’s use of the ABG identity.
“I am the only ABG (African Bad Girl). I don’t really know why we keep calling her (Tiwa Savage) ABG. What is bad about her?” she said.
When told that Savage had paid her dues in the Nigerian music industry, Msjorji disagreed, arguing that being the first to do something does not necessarily mean it was done well.
“Just because you did something first doesn’t mean you did it well. Let’s just be clear. I am the only and number one ABG. Na me be that,” she said.
She added, “She can go and do ABC or just be a mom.”
