‘Get lost if you’re tired of supporting me’ – Speed Darlington speaks after cutting ties with lawyer

Singer Speed Darlington has asked those who are tired of supporting him to get lost.

The singer said this a few hours after he parted ways with his lawyer, Stanley Alieke.

DAILY POST reports that Alieke had recently taken to his Instagram story to announce his firm, Law Capitol’s separation from the controversial musician.

The separation came a week after the singer was released from prolonged detention by the Nigerian police for allegedly cyberstalking his colleague, Burna Boy.

Reacting in a viral video shared on his Instagram page, the singer told those advising him to back down on his fight with Burna to get lost if they were tired of supporting.

“I’m on my way to the studio for more music. My life is my content. Let nobody tell me what to post. If you are tired of supporting, you get lost. And let my God guide me.

“Support, support, how many of you spend money? I spend my own money, so shut up. Let me do what I want and keep your advice to yourself. I have been there and done that; the fear is not the same.”

Shading Burna, he captioned the video, “Always singing about police brutality in Nigeria. Yet he proceeds to hire police to hold me longer. And this is only what you can say? *Leave him and move on*”

DAILY POST recalls that the singer was arrested twice in October and November 2024, after mocking Burna Boy’s relationship with the embattled American rapper, Diddy. He attributed Burna’s Grammy award win in 2021 to the alleged relationship with Diddy.

In October 2024, Darlington released the diss track “Baby Oil” aimed at Burna Boy, Diddy, and it gained popularity on Spotify Nigeria.

Since his second release after two months in Kuje prison, Darlington has subtly featured his ‘Baby Oil’ track in all of his content.

Addressing his fans after his release from detention, Darlington said he “went to gather energy and launch back with a banger!”
