American supermodel Cindy Crawford’s son, Presley Gerber, dies at 27

American fashion model Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27, according to the BBC.
Gerber died at a rehabilitation facility on Sunday, according to records filed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. The cause of death was not listed.
Allie Jenkins, a representative for Crawford, and her husband, Rande Gerber, told the BBC’s US news partner, CBS: “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Gerber followed his mother and younger sister, Kaia Gerber, into modelling and made his runway debut for Italian fashion label Moschino at the age of 16.
He later modelled for major brands including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Bottega Veneta.
His father, Rande Gerber, is a businessman and co-founder of Casamigos tequila with actor George Clooney.
Gerber had spoken publicly about his struggles with mental health and drug use. In 2023, he told the Studio 22 podcast: “Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do.”
In the September edition of American Vogue, Kaia also discussed her brother’s struggles with addiction.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said.
Kaia added that Gerber had become an example of openness for the family, saying, “There’s only so much you can hide from the world.”
Gerber shared a close relationship with his sister and appeared alongside her in a Calvin Klein campaign in 2018.
He also starred with his mother in a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial that year, 26 years after Crawford featured in the brand’s famous 1992 advertisement.
In July, Crawford marked her son’s 27th birthday by sharing two childhood photographs of him on Instagram.
“I’m so proud of the man you’ve become, but I’ll always see you as my little boy! Love you,” she wrote.
