2026 WCQ: Adams injury blow for Super Eagles

Jerome Akor Adams has been ruled out of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa with injury, DAILY POST reports.

Adams sustained a muscle injury to his left thigh in Sevilla’s home defeat against Getafe last weekend.

Sevilla announced on Wednesday that he will miss Saturday’s LaLiga clash with Girona.

The 25-year-old was named in Nigeria’s provisional squad for the games with Amavubi and Bafana Bafana last week.

It was the forward’s maiden invitation by the three-time African champions.

Adams has struggled to stay fit since joining Sevilla from Ligue 1 club, Montpellier in January.
