WAFCON 2024: Super Falcons forward sidelined with injury

New Super Falcons star Chioma Okafor will be sidelined with a hand injury for at least 12 days, DAILY POST reports.

Okafor is yet to make an appearance for Nigeria at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The University of Connecticut forward was a surprise inclusion in the Super Falcons squad for the competition.

The 20-year-old was born to a Nigerian father and a Malawian mother.

Okafor opted to represent Nigeria on the eve of the competition.

The injury will keep her out for the rest of the competition.

The Super Falcons will be in action against the Copper Queens of Zambia on Friday (today).
