Super Falcons defender, Osinachi Ohale, has emphasised the importance of maintaining defensive solidity as the team prepares to face Botswana.

Justine Madugu’s side have conceded only once in their last three matches, with Ohale marshalling a backline that kept Tunisia at bay in their opening fixture at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which they won 3–0.

The 31-year-old is aiming for another disciplined display when the Super Falcons take on the Mares at the Labri Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Thursday (today).

“It was a good step for us and we want to keep those high standards and keep the record going forward and make sure we don’t concede goals,” Ohale told Ademola Victor TV.

The Group B encounter is scheduled to kick off at 8 pm Nigerian time.
