WAFCON 2024: Onumonu doubtful for Super Falcons vs Zambia

Montpellier striker Ifeoma Onumonu is doubtful for the Super Falcons’ quarter-final tie against the Copper Queens of Zambia.

Onumonu, according to reports, missed training on Wednesday due to injury.

It is now left to be seen whether she will recover in time for the highly anticipated encounter.

The 31-year-old has made one appearance for Nigeria at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The lanky striker featured for 54 minutes in the Super Falcons’ 0-0 draw with Algeria on Sunday.

Nigeria and Zambia will battle for a place in the semi-finals at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca, on Friday.

It will be the second-ever meeting between both countries at the WAFCON.
