WAFCON 2024: Nigeria’s Ihezuo in Golden boot battle

Super Falcons forward Chiwendu Ihezuo is among the players battling for the top scorer award at the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

DAILY POST reports that Ihezuo, who plays for Mexican club Pachuca, has scored two goals in three appearances for Nigeria in Morocco.

The striker, however, has a tough battle on her hands if she hopes to win the award at the end of the tournament.

Morocco captain Ghizlane Chebbak and Senegal star Nguenar Ndiaye lead the scoring chart with four goals each.

Zambia’s dynamic duo, Barbara Banda and Rachel Kundananji, have scored three goals apiece.

Senegal’s Mama Diop, Alice Kusi of Ghana, and Morocco’s Yasmine Mrabet have all scored two goals each.
