WAFCON 2024: Babajide thrilled to make Super Falcons’ squad

Rinsola Babajide cannot hide her excitement following her inclusion in the Super Falcons’ squad for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Head coach, Justine Madugu named 24 players in his final squad for the competition on Friday.

Babajide is one of the 11 debutants in the squad.

The 27-year-old will be representing Nigeria for the first time in a major international competition.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion star took to the social media to celebrate her invitation.

She wrote on X, “Guyssss, I’m going to my first senior major tournament!!! it’s the greatest honour knowing I’ll be representing my country at the African Cup of Nations!! Thank you for all the love & support up until this point! God did @ngsuper_falcons.”
