UCL, EPL: Everything is possible – Odegaard rates Arsenal’s chances

Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard has insisted that the Gunners can still haul back Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title this season.

According to Odegaard, everything is possible amid Arsenal’s Premier League and Champions League race this term.

Arsenal are 16-point behind Liverpool at the Premeir League table after the Reds defeated Southampton at Anfield on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side are also one leg in the Champions League last-8 after thrashing PSV 7-1 in mid-week.

“We will fight until the end,” Odegaard was quoted by Metro UK as saying ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Man United.

“That is the mindset of everyone. We hav been fighting three years in a row for the title and you go a couple of years back then we were leading with a lot of points and then we finished second.

“It shows that everything is possible.

“We have put ourselves in a difficult position at the moment but we have to keep going.

“Hopefully we can – like last year – hit the top form towards the end and then we will see where that takes us in the league and also in the Champions League,” he added.
