Turkey: Ex-Besiktas coach names Osimhen Player of the Season
Former Besiktas manager, Sergen Yalcin has named Victor Osimhen as the Turkish Super Lig Player of the Season.
Yalcin believes the Nigeria international deserves the coveted Player of the Season award following his impressive loan spell with Galatasaray.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli and has played a pivotal role in the team’s dominant campaign.
The 26-year-old striker helped Galatasaray to clinch the league title and the domestic cup.
He also scored 36 goals and registered eight assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray this season.
Speaking about Osimhen, Yalcin was quoted by habersarikirmizi as saying: “I think the player of the season is Osimhen.
“It is very difficult to choose players from other teams anyway.
“If we were to form an 11, you would get at least 6-7 players from Galatasaray. You wouldn’t just get a right back and a left back.”
