Sporting CP striker, Viktor Gyokeres has felt heartbroken and told the club’s president Frederico Varandas that he wants to leave the Portuguese champions this summer transfer window.

This was disclosed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post on his X account on Tuesday morning.

According to Romano, the Sweden international has no intention to play for the club anymore.

He tweeted: “Viktor Gyökeres has already personally informed Sporting president Varandas about his decision to leave, no intention to play for the club anymore.

“Gyökeres wants new chapter, he feels heartbroken after exit pact and not expected to return to training as
@abolapt reports.”

Gyokeres has been linked with a move away from Sporting this summer.

The 27-year-old has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and a lot of other European clubs.

He joined Sporting from Coventry City in 2023.
