Transfer: There’ll be problems if he leaves – Getafe boss on Uche’s move to EPL
The manager of LaLiga side, Getafe, José Bordalás, has described as a big problem, the imminent departure of Super Eagles midfielder, Christantus Uche.
The midfielder is in the concluding stage of his move to Premier League side, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Uche was part of the team to beat Sevilla 2-1 in LaLiga in the Week 2 of the Spanish top-flight league at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on Monday night.
Speaking after the game, the manager said he would not want the midfielder to leave the LaLiga side this summer, adding that it would be a major problem for the squad.
The Nigerian midfielder would join Wolves for a reported €20 million and the player is expected to sign a five-year contract.
“Let’s hope he doesn’t leave. I’m against him leaving; he’s a very important player, and this becomes more difficult every day,” Bordalás told the press after the game.
“If Uche leaves, we have a very serious problem.
“We can’t be at the mercy of selling a player as important as Uche.”
The club’s President, Ángel Torres, had earlier confirmed Uche’s departure is due to financial regulations.
