Transfer: Rio Ferdinand gives three-word response after Man Utd make move for Baleba

Rio Ferdinand, former Manchester United defender, has issued a three-word response while casting his eye over the club’s approach to sign midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton.

Man United had approached Baleba’s camp in a bid to sign the Cameroon star this summer.

Brighton are, however, determined to keep Baleba beyond this summer, and as a result, the Seagulls could set his price tag as high as €100 million.

However, in a post on X on Wednesday, Ferdinand said: “Who’s a Baleba???” after Man United had made moves to potentially sign Baleba.

Baleba enjoyed a stellar year last season, and Brighton have no plans to cash in any time soon on the player.

But Man United’s current focus is on landing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

Meanwhile, Ferdinand had recently insisted that Baleba is Man United manager Ruben Amorim’s type of player.
