Transfer: Nigerian striker joins MLS club Columbus Crew
Nigerian striker, Aliyu Ibrahim has linked up with Major League Soccer,MLS, club Columbus Crew.
Ibrahim joined the Black and Gold in a cash-for-player trade from another MLS club, Houston Dynamo FC.
Columbus crew paid $450,000 to sign the talented striker from Houston Dynamo.
The fee could rise to $750,000 in conditional performance-based incentives. Dynamo also retain a sell-on percentage in the event of a future transfer.
Ibrahim put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the option for additional two.
“Aliyu is a young and dynamic player whose experience in MLS and the international level adds valuable depth and gives us another quality attacking option,” said Crew General Manager Issa told the club’s official website.
“We are excited to welcome Aliyu to Columbus and look forward to integrating him into our squad.”
