Transfer: Modric’s next club after Real Madrid’s exit confirmed
Following the confirmation of his Real Madrid departure, Luka Modric is set to move to AC Milan this summer.
The Croatian midfielder is currently representing the LaLiga side at the Club World Cup in the United States.
After the competition, Modric is expected to sign a contract with Milan, bringing an end to his hugely successful stint in Spain.
“We are ready to bring in Luka Modrić, we need new leaders,” AC Milan director, Igli Tare, said.
“Modrić can be a key player for us and he asked about being competitive, winning titles… we are on it.”
Modric, who won the Ballon d’Or winner in 2018, leaves the Bernabeu after winning several trophies, including six UEFA Champions League.
