Transfer: Martinez to replace Onana at Man Utd
Aston Villa goalkeeper, Emiliano Martínez, is set to replace André Onana at Manchester United.
As reported by TouchlineX on X (via @LeoParadizo), the Red Devils are already in contact with the Argentina World Cup winner to take over from Onana.
Onana will leave Old Trafford, and Martínez is expected to become his replacement at Man United.
The Cameroonian joined Man United from Inter Milan in 2023 after guiding the Serie A side to a second-place finish in the Champions League final, losing 1-0 to Manchester City.
The 29-year-old has endured a mixed season at United and occasionally faced criticism for his performances, as Man United finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Man United are keen to bolster manager Rúben Amorim’s squad this summer after a disappointing campaign in the Premier League last season.
They have already signed Brazilian attacker Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
