Transfer: Maresca names two strikers to replace Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea
Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has dropped a huge hint that the club could offload Nicolas Jackson this summer.
Jackson’s position as first choice is under threat following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap this summer.
This has opened the door for the exit of the Senegal striker, who scored 10 goals in the Premier League last season.
Jackson was signed in 2023 for a fee of around £32m, but Chelsea are willing to cash in if a suitable bid comes in.
Newcastle United are believed to have turned their attention to Jackson after failing to land their other striker targets.
“Nico is okay. I think, as I just said, when the transfer window is open,– unfortunately or fortunately, anything can happen,” Maresca told reporters.
“At the moment, we also have had two strikers arrive, Joao and Liam, so we’ll see what happens.”
