Transfer: It’d mean a lot to me, my family – Super Eagles star, Arokodare on Man United move

Nigeria International, Tolu Arokodare, has described himself as Manchester United fan as he is being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Speculations this week suggested that the Super Eagles star could be heading to Manchester United this summer.

From all indications, the attacker would be leave his Belgian side, Racing Genk this summer following a standout season.

He won the Jupiler Pro League Golden Boot, with his 21 goals in 40 games across the regular season and playoffs.

The Red Devils won’t risk not getting a new striker this summer following their abysmal performance last season.

Ruben Amorim’s side have already made contact with the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyökeres.

However, the Red Devils are now seeing the 24-year-old Arokodare as a more affordable alternative.

Speaking to SportsBoom, Arokodare said: “Obviously, it’s a dream to play in the Premier League, but I have my eyes on it for sure.

“Whatever options I have, I’ll take my time and make the best decision.

“I’m a Manchester United fan, and if it happens, it would mean a lot to me and my family.”

The striker’s deal at his current club runs until the end of the 2026-2027 season.

Clubs from across Europe, especially from Bundesliga and Portugal, have also indicated interest in the Nigeria International.
