Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has claimed he has too many players in his squad.

Guardiola was asked by reporters about the future of midfielder Ilkay Gundogan at the Premier League club.

Gundogan, who only returned to the Etihad from Barcelona last summer, is being linked with Galatasaray.

“I don’t know anything,” Guardiola said.

“But at the same time, we have – right now – a long squad, too many players.

“But right now, Ilkay is absolutely part of my mind and the team.”

Guardiola added Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush and Vitor Reis to his squad during the January window.

This summer, Tijjani Reijnders and Ryan Cherki have already arrived from AC Milan and Lyon, respectively.

Rayan Ait-Nouri was also signed from Wolves in a £31 million transfer.
