Transfer: ‘Dynamic striker, good at exploiting space’ – Capello wants Inter Milan to sign Hojlund
Former Italian manager, Fabio Capello, has told Inter Milan to sign Manchester United striker, Rasmus Hojlund, this summer.
There are indications that Hojlund could leave Old Trafford this summer following a very poor performance last season.
The striker joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023 but has so far struggled to find his footing at Old Trafford.
The Dane scored just 10 goals and laid four assists in 52 games across competitions for the Red Devils last season.
Hojlund has been linked with a move to Inter, and Capello is of the view that the Champions League finalist should prioritize signing the striker.
Capello told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he is a fan of the Denmark international despite his failure to hit the ground running at Old Trafford.
“The Dane is a very dynamic striker, good at exploiting space. Even though he was very young, he impressed me at Atalanta,” he said.
Capello sees Bonny as a different kind of striker who is more involved in the build-up play, adding that he was not ready for the bigger challenge.
Hojlund’s current deal should keep him at Old Trafford until 2028, and according to Transfermarkt, he is valued at €35 million.
