Transfer: Chelsea reach deal with Villarreal for Veiga, reject offer for Nkunku

Chelsea have reached a transfer deal with Villarreal for defender, Renato Veiga.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Veiga’s deal fee for Villarreal will be €25m fixed, €4.5m in add-ons and sell-on clause also included in the deal.

Veiga is expected to undergo his Villarreal medical on Thursday.

Recall that Veiga joined Chelsea on a seven-year contract from FC Basel last year.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have rejected an offer from RB Leipzig to sign their player Christopher Nkunku on loan this summer.

The Premier League west London club are keen to sell Nkunku on a permanent transfer after bringing in the likes of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

It’s yet to be seen if Chelsea will receive another offer for the Frenchman before the summer transfer window closes in September.
