Transfer: Chelsea intensifies pursuit of Jorrel Hato after fresh talks
Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of Ajax player Jorrel Hato after holding fresh talks with the Dutch club.
This was revealed by football transfer expert Ben Jacobs in a post on his X account.
“Chelsea still active on Jorrel Hato after opening fresh talks. No bid yet, but one to watch,” Jacobs wrote on X.
Chelsea had already held talks with Ajax over the signing of Hato.
Ajax want £60m for their defender, but Enzo Maresca’s side are hoping for closer to £40m.
However, it’s yet to be seen if the Premier League west London club will step up their bid for the 19-year-old player in the coming days.
Chelsea have already signed the likes of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
