Transfer: Belgian club Zulte Waregum sign Nigerian striker on loan

Belgian Pro League club Zulte Waregum have signed Nigerian striker Emeka Anachunam on loan for the 2025/26 season.

Zulte Waregum took the decision to sign the 18-year-old after he impressed while on loan at the club.

De Boeren also have the option to make the loan permanent at the end of the season.

Anachunam was signed from Inspire Sports Academy in Nigeria.

The 18-year-old arrived Zulte Waregum in mid-June, and caught the eye with his impressive displays in the friendlies he played for the club.

He scored four goals in the pre-season friendly win over PSV 1820, and was also on target against AEK Athens.
