Transfer: Arsenal in talks to sign Mosquera
Arsenal are in advanced negotiations to sign Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.
The Gunners are keen to bring in a defender, and Mosquera has emerged as their preferred option.
The 20-year-old can play at centre-back and right-back.
Mosquera would serve as back-up to Arsenal’s first-choice defensive partnership of Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba.
The Spain Under-21 international has made 90 appearances for Valencia, playing 90 minutes in 37 of the club’s 38 LaLiga matches.
It has been a busy 24 hours for Arsenal, who are also close to finalising a deal for Brentford midfielder Christian Nørgaard.
The North London side are also expected to complete the signing of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea imminently.
