They’re not handling intensity – Ally McCoist criticizes Man Utd duo

TNT Sports’ co-commentator, Ally McCoist has criticized Manchester United duo Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte as the Red Devils drew with Everton in the Premier League on Saturday at Goodison Park.

McCoist insisted that the pair are not handling intensity against opponents.

Both players featured as Man United came from two goals down to play a 2-2 draw against the Toffees at Goodison Park.

Bruno Fernandes and Ugarte scored the goals for Ruben Amorim’s side.

Discussing Man United’s display, McCoist said: “The first thing you have to say is that Everton have been great.

“But United have got to lift and start asking questions of opponents. You need to ask a question of the opposition back-four. They haven’t done that.

“I just think about the middle of the park, Casemiro has been slightly better but I loom at Ugarte, I’m not seeing it with him at this moment in time.

“I’m really not seeing it. Those two aren’t really handling the intensity.”

Ugarte joined Man United from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

Casemiro, on the other hand, joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid in 2022.
