Theo Walcott names three players Arsenal should sign in summer

Former Arsenal forward, Theo Walcott has named three players his old club should sign in the summer.

Arsenal’s Premier League title race is all-but over after Liverpool opened a 12 points lead at the top of the Premier League table a few days ago.

The Gunners are expected to bolster their squad in the summer transfer window in a bid to challenge Liverpool for the title next season.

Finishing as runners-up this season, would be Arsenal’s third successive second-place finish.

When asked to name three players he would like Arsenal to sign this summer, Walcott told DR Sports: “I don’t actually think Arsenal need three new players, I’d say they only need one.

“[Alexander] Isak is the one everyone wants. But if you are going to hold a gun to my head and say two more, I would probably say someone like Mbeumo at Brentford for a bit of cover for Saka.”

He added, “I know it’s really out of the box but I would have looked at someone like [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, he plays off the left.

“You probably didn’t expect me to say that but you caught me off guard.”
