Serie A: Atalanta chief, Percassi gives condition for Lookman’s recall

Atalanta CEO, Luca Percassi has said Ademola Lookman must show more desire to play for the club to be fully integrated back into the squad.

Lookman pushed to join Inter Milan this summer by submitting a transfer request to the club.

The tricky winger also trained separately in England, and only returned to Italy after Inter pulled out of the deal.

The 28-year-old was omitted from Atalanta’s squad that beat Leece at home on Sunday, and head coach, Ivan Juric has said he is unlikely to feature against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.

Percassi insisted that Lookman must show he is willing to play for the club again.

“We know how important Lookman is for Atalanta, but the club has some very basic principles, which need players who are ready to give 100 per cent for this jersey and totally concentrated on our cause, because every game is difficult,” Percassi told DAZN.
