Ikorodu City have described their President Federation Cup semi-final defeat to Abakaliki FC as tough.

The Oga Boys suffered a 5-4 penalty shootout defeat to the Nigeria National League (NNL) side Abakaliki FC.

The game ended goalless in regulation time at the Bwari Stadium in Abuja on Wednesday.

Ikorodu City commended the players for their spirited display.

“Tough defeat in Abuja against Abakaliki FC”, Ikorodu City wrote on X.

“Hats off for a courageous season fight lads! Top stuff.”

DAILY POST reports that Ikorodu City will finish in the top half of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season in their maiden campaign in the topflight.
