President Federation Cup: Abakaliki FC players get N1m each for second-place finish
Abakaliki FC players have been rewarded with a sum of N1m each for finishing as runners-up in the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The Ebonyi State governor, Nwifuru Francis made the donation after receiving the players at a reception in Abakaliki on Monday.
It would be recalled that Abakaliki FC lost to Kwara United 4-3 on penalties in the final of the tournament in Lagos last Saturday.
The game ended goalless in regulation time.
Abakaliki FC players also recorded an impressive outing in the tournament with wins over Enyimba, Nasarawa United, Katsina United and Ikorodu City.
They also received a cash prize of N20 million for reaching the final.
