Nigeria Premier Football League side Sunshine Stars has been assured of a return to their home ground, the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure, next month.

The project manager, Sani Muhammed, gave the assurance in Akure on Wednesday.

“The company can assure the fans and stakeholders in Ondo State that Sunshine Stars will play its first home game this season in Akure by February 2025,” Muhammed stated to the media.

“The grasses to be used for the pitch are not from Nigeria and they have to go through processes of production and clearing. Right now, we are in the process of clearing, so I can guarantee you that come February this year, Sunshine Stars will be back at the home ground.”

DAILY POST recalls that Sunshine Stars have adopted the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode and the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne as their home ground this season.
