Rangers returned to winning ways courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagaro Stadium, Minna on Sunday.

The holders lost 1-0 at home to Shooting Stars last weekend but bounced back with a resolute display this time around.

Bashir Usman scored the winning goal against Tornadoes three minutes after the half-hour mark.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side moved to third position with 31 points.

At the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano Pillars beat El-kanemi Warriors 1-0 in the North West derby.

Umar Al Amin’s 37th-minute strike separated both teams on the day.
