Rivers United have confirmed the appointment of Yemi Olanrewaju as their new Chief Coach, DAILY POST reports.

Olanrewaju takes the place of Evans Ogenyi, who recently left the position following the expiration of his contract.

The young tactician was sacked by Enyimba midway through last season.

The former Golden Eaglets assistant coach is reuniting with Finidi George after their previous spell at Enyimba.

He is expected to start work immediately at the Port Harcourt club.

Rivers United started pre season training last week Monday.

Finidi’s side finished second in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.
