NPFL: Kano Pillars shift focus to El-Kanemi after Remo Stars setback

Kano Pillars assistant coach Ahmed Garba said the team is firmly focused on their rescheduled Matchday 20 clash against El-Kanemi Warriors.

Sai Masu Gida lost 2-1 to leaders Remo Stars last weekend.

Garba said his side has moved past the narrow defeat.

The gaffer expressed confidence in his team’s chances of securing maximum points against their northern rivals.

“The defeat at Remo was painful because we played much better and deserved to take something from the game, but luck wasn’t on our side,” Garba told the club’s media.

“We have put that setback behind us and are now looking ahead to Wednesday’s match against El-Kanemi Warriors, where I strongly believe we will secure a positive result, God willing.”

A win on Wednesday will see the four-time champions climb to 10th position in the NPFL standings ahead of their weekend home fixture against Abia Warriors.
