NPFL: Ikhenoba positive despite Bendel Insurance draw with Enyimba

Bendel Insurance caretaker head coach, Greg Ikhenoba was excited to see his team end 2024 on a positive note.

The Benin Arsenals held Enyimba to a 0-0 draw in their last match of the year in Aba on Tuesday.

Insurance are now unbeaten in their last five Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) games.

Ikhenoba however expressed disappointment in their failure to beat Enyimba, blaming poor marksmanship for the stalemate.

“I am happy now that we ended the year well. We were capable of getting the maximum points against Enyimba but we wasted a lot of chances before our opponents recovered in the second half.

“They also wasted chances and were also unlucky,” he told the club’s media.

“That is the game of football,if you don’t convert your chances when they come it becomes difficult.”
