NPFL: Heartland desperate for victory against Akwa United

Heartland are determined to secure maximum points in the final match of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

The Naze Millionaires will face Akwa United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri on Sunday.

“The final battle! We face Akwa United with our sights on the maximum points,” Heartland wrote on Facebook.

Heartland occupy 17th position on the NPFL table with 45 points, while Akwa United are ranked 18th with 44 points.

Both teams need a win to avoid relegation to the Nigeria National League, NNL.

Sunshine Stars and Lobi Stars have already been relegated to the NNL.
