NPFL: Enyimba, Rivers United plot move for Ikorodu City defender Ojetoye
Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, sides, Enyimba and Rivers United, are pushing to sign Waliu Ojetoye from Ikorodu City this summer.
Both teams are in need of quality recruitment ahead of the 2025–26 NPFL season.
Enyimba and Rivers United will have to table a huge offer for the defender, as he still has a contract with Ikorodu City.
Ojetoye could have the chance to play in the CAF Champions League if he links up with Rivers United.
He was outstanding in the Oga Boys’ fourth-place finish in the NPFL last season.
The 21-year-old defender featured regularly in coach Nurudeen Aweroro’s side in the NPFL.
His performance in the league also earned him a place in the Super Eagles team for the Unity Cup in London.
